Golf Schools Provide A 'Way Out'

Many Americans find themselves forced to choose between poverty and risking injury in a dangerous job. As Nick Helms, a San Diego Golf Academy student who lost his father in a mining accident, has found, an education in golf can provide a path out of this type of existence.

Nick Helms knows better than anyone what can happen in a dangerous job, such as mining: in early January of 2006, his father and 12 other miners were trapped in an explosion in the Sago Mine, located in West Virginia. Only one of the miners made it out alive.

Despite the danger inherent in these jobs, many miners continue with the work simply because they have no choice. There are few other jobs in the area that can offer a comparable income. Terry Helms had been a coal miner for 35 years, and he knew well the dangers involved; in fact, he strove to keep his son from facing the same dangers by encouraging Nick to pursue a better life.

Like many others before him, Nick Helms found his escape at the San Diego Golf Academy. Determined to pursue his dream career as a professional golfer, the younger Helms enrolled at the SDGA-Myrtle Beach golf school. With state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, resources such as golf job placement services, and more than 30 years worth of successful graduates in the field, SDGA will provide Nick with all the education and resources he needs to pursue a successful golf career.

As Sports Illustrated Online reported in its June 14th article, To Honor the Father, pursuing his dream career is Nicks way of honoring Terry Helms wishes. As a San Diego Golf Academy student, Nick will gain an education that will ensure his future, protecting him from the need to put his own life on the line in order to pay the bills or feed his family.

Mayor Villaraigosa Shares Control Of The Los Angeles Schools

Last month, I wrote in an article about Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa proposing a legislative bill to take control of the Los Angeles schools (see Los Angeles Schools Strongly Opposed to Takeover by Mayor Villaraigosa). Reform Bill 1381 passed the state legislature at the end of August, with some changes.

Villaraigosa, who portrayed himself as the one person who could make a success of the Los Angeles schools system, instead must share control of the school system with the Los Angeles schools board and the Council of Mayors. The mayor did, however, receive direct control of three low-performing high schools and their feeder elementary and middle schools.

The final reform bill makes running the Los Angeles schools much more complex for everyone concerned. First, there is a logistical problem with Villaraigosa and the Los Angeles schools board in two separate locations, making decision making a longer, more drawn out process. The role of teachers in deciding curriculum now is uncertain, and many believe the mayors plan may impede new school construction, considered a successful endeavor by the Los Angeles schools board. The bills language is confusing, already causing conflicting interpretations.

There also is a question on the legality of the bill, which is expected to face an immediate legal challenge. The Los Angeles schools board, which was adamantly opposed to the bill, already has discussed a lawsuit, claiming that the bill violates the requirement in the state constitution that schools remain within the educational system. The opinion of the legislatures counsel is that the Los Angeles schools board has a case, but Villaraigosa believes it will survive a challenge.

Ever the politician, the mayor now is looking to foster cooperation with teachers, parents and the Los Angeles schools board, but he may find this difficult. He leveled blistering criticism at the school board and its members over the past year. Even Assemblywoman Jackie Goldberg (D-Los Angeles) criticized Villaraigosa during a hearing by the Assembly Education Committee, which she chairs, stating that she was disappointed that he did not have the same dialogue with the Los Angeles schools board as he did with the teachers unions.

Villaraigosa continues to promote the passage of the bill as an opportunity for parents, educators, the Council of Mayors, the cities and himself to partnership for the betterment of the Los Angeles schools. Though no clear specifics have even been given by the mayor on how he will proceed, he remarked that the new power-sharing arrangement will reshape and invigorate a lethargic bureaucracy that has underserved generations of students. He further stated that success depends on his leadership and the contributions of his Los Angeles schools partners.

10 Common Reasons Why Medical Claims were being Denied and your Action Plan

(1) Incorrect patients information (insurance ID# , date of birth) If you are submitting electronic claims, AVOID entering patients insurance number with characters like an asterisk (*) and dash (-) in between the alphanumeric numbers because these characters can be recognize by electronic as unrecognizable. Just check on this issue with the clearinghouse or your service provider. Always make a copy of your patient's primary & secondary insurance card on file (copy front and back!). Make sure to get a copy of their new card (if there is a change).

(2) Patients non-coverage or terminated coverage at the time of service may also be the reason of denial That is why, it is very important that you check on your patients benefits and eligibility before see the patient (unfortunately, I have seen practices who does not check on benefits and eligibility on their patients so they end being not paid for the service they rendered to the patient)

(3) CPT/ICD9 Coding Issues (requires 5th digit, outdated codes)--- be careful also with your secondary code! Claims may be denied even if the problem was just because of the secondary CPT/ICD9 code! Again as I previously pointed out with my other articles on tracking your claims, with this problem, discuss solving the coding error rather than how much you want to get reimbursed. Most of the insurance companies will help you with codes (in fairness!!) and they also inform you on outdated codes, or codes that requires a 5th digit. Be nice with the claims department! (at least you try!)

(4) Incorrect use of modifiers! (be careful with bilateral procedures!, modifiers for professional and technical component, modifiers for multiple procedures, postoperative period, etc.)

(5) No precertification or preauthorization obtained (if required) It is so hard to file an appeal when the claim or service was non-precertified. Avoid it from happening!

(6) No referral on file (if required) Note: HMOs always requires a referral! (remember that!)

(7) The patient has other primary insurance or the patients claim is for workmans comp or auto accident claim! It is the responsibility of your front desk staff to get all the necessary information before the patient can be seen. Remember that if this is a workmans comp or an auto accident claim, you need a claim number and the adjustors name. Services are always preauthorized!

(8) Claim requires documentation & notes to support medical necessity A well documented medical records is a good practice!

(9) Claim requires referring physicians info (with UPIN ofcourse!-this will be soon replaced by an NPI or the National Provider Identification number)

(10) Untimely filing Unfortunately most of the insurances does not accept your billing records on your office computer that shows that date(s) you billed the insurance! They want a receipt from your electronic receipt or for postal mail, obviously they want a receipt too! a tracking number maybe? certified letter receipt? If you are submitting claims by electronic, make sure you generate transmission reports/receipts. Your reports must read "accepted" and not "rejected". File all these transmittal reports/ and receipts and a very safe place! If you are sending claims by paper or postal mail, it is a good idea to send your claims as certified mail with tracking number, keep your receipts!!

Help Your Child Get Prepared For A Rewarding Career in the Workplace

Most parents want to see their child fare better or have greater success than they did both personally and professionally. To that end parents often try to teach their children valuable life skills and morals that will help them to get ahead of the competition. Often, though words of wisdom simply aren't enough to help the child succeed. A good plan for the future is critical to giving a child a head start in life.

For most people the plan consists of helping the child prepare to go to college. Great pressure is put on the child to not only take college preparatory examinations, such as the SAT or ACT, but to score very high on the tests so as to gain entrance to the most prestigious universities. Sadly, many students do not perform well when taking examinations under such tremendous strain. As a result, their lackluster performance will exclude them from gaining entrance to the exclusive Ivy League universities. The option of attending a public university is still available but the poor performance on the examination could leave the student with feelings of inadequacy. Entering college with the idea of feeling like he or she is not smart enough will set up the student for failure before the post-secondary education can even begin.

Additionally, whether it is a private or public university the cost of obtaining an advanced education is prohibitive. Housing must be paid for whether on or off campus; there are constant books and tuition fees along with general living expenses. Obtaining a four year degree can leave both the parents and the student deep in debt. Besides the cost of the education there is also the factor that many students do not like attending school. Therefore, the faster an educational program can be administered the greater the student's chance for successfully completing it.

So what's the answer? Online career training is the way to go. This type of education is comprehensive, convenient and quick. Students can choose a subject of interest to them, enroll online and begin learning almost instantly. These are self-paced courses so the material can be covered as quickly or as slowly as the student desires. As long as internet access is available the student can learn at any time of the day at any location preferred. Upon completion of their career training the student is fully prepared to enter the workforce and start using the practical knowledge and experience gained. Since the career training courses can be paid for in advance there will be no heavy debts to pay back. If parents really want to prepare their children for a great career later they should definitely look into online career training.

Changing Your Affiliate Formula

Becoming an affiliate is one of the easiest ways to start a business online. To start an online business, you are in fact using someone elses product or service as leverage to create an income stream for yourself.

Not all Affiliates have grasped the correct formula it takes to succeed as an affiliate. Some affiliates go from one program to the next instead of choosing one and sticking with it until success comes. It takes perseverance and commitment to gain success as an affiliate.

There is no one exact formula that works, but if you are using a formula or method that is not working, then its time to change your affiliate formula. You may be promoting the wrong program; one that doesnt pay out enough to sustain you or you may be using ineffective methods or formula for advertising.

Most affiliate programs come with longer URLs than normal domain names. If you are using your long affiliate URL, go to www.tinyurl.com to get a shorter URL link. It will take the user back to your affiliate page, but it gets rid of your long URL, which I think looks very tacky anyway. People wont take you seriously if they see a long URL link like that of an affiliate link.

If you are advertising on free classified ad sites, you may be wasting a lot of your productive time and that formula may not work for the item or service that you are promoting. Decrease the time you spend posting on free classified ad sites and use your time to write an article or articles and submit them to ezine owners or article directories. You can go to google or yahoo and do a search for ezines, ezine directory, article directories, submit article. You will find a list of places that accept article submission. Submit your article to no fewer than 10 ezines and 10 article submission sites. Commit to writing at least 2 articles per week and submit them. If you can do more, then that will greatly increase your bottom line and enhance your formula. When you submit your article or your site to various online directories, you generate hundreds of quality one-way links to your site and anyone who searches these directories may find your article or your sites description interesting & visit your site. From this you get a large targeted audience. Make sure you pack your articles with targeted keywords, but make sure that you dont overdo it. Give your audience good information.

Do you know how to blog? If you dont know how, then do a search using the popular search engines. Use keywords like, blog, blogging, to search for information on blogs. You can also go to blogger.com and wordpress.com to create one. It can be done in three easy steps. You will get a blog URL after you have created your blog. Submit that blog URL to blog directories, which you will also find by searching the popular search engines. Make sure you blog subject targets the audience you are trying to reach.

Have you tried google adwords yet? Google adwords formula is very effective if you have a strong headline and eye-catching ad. You can go to google.adwords.com to learn more about google adwords. Start out with $25 per day and as soon as you start receiving hits from you google ad, go ahead and reduce your daily amount.

Another formula you can use instead of free classified ad sites is discussion forums. Be careful when using discussion forums or you will be considered a spammer. Create a profile and include a signature line with your affiliate link. Introduce yourself first to the forum. Browse the forum to learn how others are posting and if you make contributions to the forum, make then count. Dont ever post ads to the forum. To find discussion forums, go to google or yahoo and search for the type of discussion forum you are looking for. If you go to www.big-board.com, you will find a big list of forums to choose from.

If you want to continue to use your ads, use them in ezines as classified ads or solo ads. This formula is much more effective. You an also try to find a website owner who compliments your product or service that you are trying to promote and ask them to do a joint venture with you. It can create a win/win solution for all involved.

If you are not familiar with joint venture, I am going to recommend a free ebook that will help you. It is free to download at www.moneywithjointventures.com/freeoffer

Lastly, another formula that words is google adsense. Open a google adsense account at google.adsense.com. Use the script that will be provided and include it in your articles. Buy a domain name at godaddy.com and upload the google adsense article to your hosting account. Google loves content rich websites. Be sure to include your affiliate link in your article. You will also make some extra money with the google ads that will be displayed in your article from the script provided by google.

Changing your affiliate formula to one that works will guarantee your success as an affiliate. If one formula doesnt work, try another, but dont ever give up. Give the formula at least 30 days to see some glimmer of hope. Try hard before abandoning your efforts. What works for one may not work for the other. Keep on affiliating. It will pay off.

How to Make Money Online with Google AdWords?

We all heard about making money online. The question is how do you rely start making money online today. I am going to share with you on how you can start making money online without having a website, not knowing anything about web design, and not spending much money. That is right you do not have to have any knowledge of HTML code. All you have to know is how to type. There are hundreds of courses on the internet charging you hundreds of dollar for the information I am about to share with you. Do not spend any money on any online marketing tools until you read this.

The one way to take advantage of Google AdWords is to become affiliate. Affiliate marketing is where someone advertises for another website and in return that person receives commission for each sale their advertising brigs to that website. Heres an example: Lets say I want to sell Laptop Computers, but I dont have a website and/or I dont have any computers to sell. Well instead of starting a company, I can just find a company online which already sells computers and offers an affiliate program. Now that I have searched and found a company, I look at what they offer. Lets say they are giving 10% commission on every sale I make. I decide to use that company and I set up my affiliate account with them and they give me a special URL (a web address that will let the company know that it was my advertising which gave them the sale), which I use in my advertisements. Now I make ad advertisement, and display it on Google. Whenever someone sees and clicks on my advertisement it will go to the companys webpage. Lets say that one hundred people clicked on my text advertisement and one of them buys a computer that cost $1,200. Because that person who bought the computer clicked on my advertisement that company will give me 10% of $1,200 which means that I made $120.00

Most online companies offer affiliate program. Companies like Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Max, Amazon.com, Buy.com and many more, literally tens of thousands. There are also companies online which all they do is offer other online business a way to have an affiliate program. These affiliate Companies manage affiliate programs for thousands of online companies. This means that if you have an account with Affiliate Company (they are completely free), you can advertise for any of the thousands of companies that use them to manage their affiliate sales. If you want to, you can search Google for affiliate programs just to see how big online marketing currently is.

By using AdWords and high paying affiliate program you can start earning money today. The AdWords advertisements are Pay Per Click (PPC), which means that the owner of that advertisement pays Google every time someone clicks on their advertisement. The main reason for wanting to pay for traffic is because it is very very difficult to receive free traffic on Google. When you sign up for Google AdWords Pay Per Click advertising your advertisement will be displayed almost immediately in Googles search results (usually within 5 minutes). You can also decide which page you want your advertisements to be displayed on ( the first page receives more visitors than the other pages).

It is very simple to start Google AdWords account. Go to www.google.com and look toward the bottom of the page. You will see a link says Advertising Programs. Once you there, you should click on the link which says Google AdWords. After clicking Click to Begin, you will be taken to a couple of pages which will ask you how you want to set up your advertising group(s) with Google. Google will send you an email to the email address you specified which will contain a URL that you will need to go to in order to activate your account. After you go to that URL you can log into Google AdWords using your email address as your user name. Now that you have an account set up, you are ready to learn how to create a Campaign so you can begin making money online.

Here is how to create a AdWords campaign in Google. First off to create a new keyword campaign, click the link Keyword-Targeted campaign. You will be prompted to name your campaign. Your campaign name is what will be displayed on the first screen when you log into your Google AdWords account. Since you will most likely have several campaigns, when you name your campaign you will want to make sure it is unique name that will let you know exactly what you are advertising in that campaign. Next you will need to name your AdGroup. Remember, you will have several different AdGroups with one Campaign, so name it something that will help you know exactly what keywords are in that AdGroup. Next, you should choose the area(s) where you want your ads to appear. There are three different ways to choose where you want to advertise. You can choose to advertise by Countries and Territories, Regions and Cities, or Customized.

The most important thing you need in order to have a successful Google campaign is a text ad with a high CTR. Text Ads with a high CTR will increase your Quality Score which will increase your overall position.

Things You Should Know:

1. You are not required to have http: or www in your display URL.

2. Google will not let you capitalize all the letters in all your words, but they will let you capitalize most of your words.

3. The website must not require additional software to load (example: it cannot be a .pdf instead of .htm).

4. Back button must be able to go back to Google with one click.

5. You cant have websites that mirror other websites that are advertised for the same keyword (example: having the same pictures and text but using a different web address). I know many affiliates do this, but I dont know how much Google enforces this rule.

6. The website you are advertising cannot have a pop up or pup under ad.

Another key to having a successful online business is making sure that every single person who is even the slightest bit interested in your product sees your advertisement. The best way to do this is by creating a very huge keyword list (thousands of keywords). Some products have many keywords, while others have very few. Usually the more keywords there are available for the product, the better. Not because it is searched more often, but also because most people who are also selling the same product will only select a few general keywords which may be very broad keywords.

When you bid on Google, you will not always pay the price you enter. The price you enter is the MCPC (Maximum Cost Per Click) you are willing to pay for that keyword. Google constantly updating the bids for the keywords in their search engine. For example if your MCPC is $0.15 and the advertiser in front of you is bidding $0.16 and the Ad one position behind you is bidding $0.05, you will only pay $0.06 per click, because there is no reason why you should have to pay $0.15 per click if you can get the same Ad position for $0.06 per click.

Google is a most searched search engine on the internet and with that they are consistently making update and improvement. If you are really serious about making money online or promotion you current business I will make a recommendation that will make you an absolute pro on AdWords. Ive spend thousands trying to research best possible ways to market in the internet. With all the money Ive spend I could of just gotten one system Google MoneyPro by Steven Holdaway. You absolutely cannot ignore what he has to share with you. He personally makes over $120,000 per MONTH. Check out his website. http://googlemoneypro.bestofbusinessonline.com

5 Ways To Increase Your Affiliate Sales

There are certain ways of doing anything. When it comes to affiliate marketing in particular, you can choose to do it half-heartedly or you can go all-out and do it right. Work your affiliate programs by slamming a ton of banners on a page and waiting for the money to roll in is both a waste of your time and a disservice to the affiliate program owner you're working for. You may as well not even do it.

Work your affiliate programs like they actually mean something to you and your business; with all your knowledge and effort, and you're going to be on the road to collecting a good deal of commissions. Just like anything, there are ways of doing things that are going to prove to your web site or blog visitors that you are an expert at what you're taking about. Use your expertise about the product you're promoting and speak to them as a friend. After all, PRE-Selling a product is nothing more than being able to articulate how wonderful something is to someone else, as one trusted friend to another. It's not a hard thing to learn, but is a skill you must master that is not being taught as widely as it needs to be. People want to be able to trust others. Cynicism runs rampant in the Internet marketing world. There are far too many scammers out there making us good guys look bad. You primary job is to be that one voice crying out in the wilderness that changes that cynicism to trust. It's about being real and not a salesman. People can smell a salesman a mile away and they stink.

Here are 5 ways to work your affiliate marketing programs as an expert:

1. PRE-Sell - Find your own voice. Don't write like everyone else. You do not want to come off as just another carbon-copy salesman. You need to convey to your visitors that you care about them (it helps if you do). You need to have a passion to truly help other people. That can be understood in how you write. Sincerity is a trait sorely lacking in Internet marketing. You need to learn the mandatory skill of writing to PRE-Sell. Your job is to PRE-Sell the product and it is the job of the stores' landing pages to close the sale. Tell your visitors of your experiences and share stories. People appreciate being spoken to as an old friend sitting around the dining room table with a cup of coffee. Which lead to....

2. Have Product Experience - Whenever possible, own the product or work with the service you're promoting. This allows you to speak as that expert with first-hand experience. Your passion for that fantastic product will shine through. You want your readers to get as excited as your are about the product. You're not going to want to promote something that isn't any good, no matter how high the commissions, right? Um....right?? This can only come by owner the product yourself. Plus, you'll wind up with something really cool! ;)

3. Follow Your Niche - If you're web site or blog that has to do with cellular phones, don't join and promote an affiliate program for riding lawnmowers. You are not going to get your most wanted response that way, which is the click. Keep your subject matter and your affiliate programs in line with one another.

4. Deep Link - Let's use the cell phone scenario and say that you've got a page or a blog entry about the Apple iPhone and you have an affiliate association with a large on-line cell phone store. When you're figuring out which of their affiliate text links, banners or other creative to use, make sure you are able to deep link to the page or pages about Apple iPhones. You want to put your potential customer where they want to be. Don't just link to the cell phone stores home page. That is like leading them out into the woods and then dumping them. Don't make them search for that Apple iPhone information, lead them directly to it via your deep-linking affiliate link. That way will convert much better for you.

5. Work with The Affiliate Program Owners - They want to sell their products as much as you do. Even more. Don't be afraid to contact them and voice your concerns, opinions and needs. Any affiliate program that is worth promoting will welcome your input. They will want to work with you. You'll be able to tell who is worth working with and who is not. Do they have a large selection of creative to use? Do they offer attractive commission payouts (I tend not to take anything that pays out 2% of a sale or less) and long-term cookies? Do they allow deep linking with a bunch of pages to choose from? Is their affiliate program control center attractive and easy to use? Do they keep you informed via email about upcoming promotions and ways to help you make better conversions? If all that is being done, you should be working with them as best you can. They are obviously putting their best foot forward for you and their customers. If not, drop them and move on. They should always be there to help you in any way they can.

There you have it. Those are a few of the ways to work an affiliate program for all it's worth. If you want the money (a no-brainer), learn all you can, work hard, work smart and don't give up. Your failure or success is entirely dependent on you. Here's to your success!

Afraid Of Making Money

I believe one of the obstacles that keep people from succeeding is one very basic fear:

The fear of making big money.

Not just fear of making money... but the big moolah.

If you don't think that is a fear that is stopping you then you analyze those rich people closely.

Some of them feared making money because their parents were not high earners. If they made more money than their Father, they reasoned, what kind of son or daughter would they be?

Sounds crazy but this is not what we want but what this is what our sub-conscious mind is reminding us.

Others fear that making big money would 'change' them somehow and they would not be the same person anymore- the same person that people know, love and care for.

True story:

I have a friend whose friends are no longer close to her anymore because she has grown to be more successful than them. She has become a 'bigger' person now.

They start to pick on her like...

"She thinks she's the only person busy with her work."

The truth is... she is BUSY with her work and building a strong financial support but her friends don't have that kind of being busy privilege.

And they'll look for her weaknesses to find chances to pick on her.

Are her friends bad? Not really. They're just reacting towards 'change'. Instead of responding, they're reacting.

They'll feel...

"She's not the same person anymore."

Yes, she chanced to be better and wiser.

So if she changes to be more successful, she'll fear that her friends might not like her they way they used to.

That's just one example.

The fear of making big money is REAL. It's in your mind and the only thing that is moving you is YOUR MIND.

However, you may not believe you are influenced by this fear because it sounds really silly.

But think about it for a minute.

Maybe what you really fear is 'change'... and if you made big money it would change you and your life.

That is why most lottery 'millionaires' end up spending or losing most of their winnings a year or so after they've won... they seek 'normal' lives again where nothing ever changes.

It's not hard to make big money... the hard part is giving yourself permission to make it and keep it.

Yes, I said give yourself PERMISSION to start making big money.

The game of becoming rich is an internal one... just like golf, or becoming an Olympic athlete. The problem is inside us... lack of confidence and self-esteem are the enemies.

Don't let fear of making money stop you. Start believing in yourself, check your self-esteem and make a wise informed and profitable choice for your future.

One of the way to solve this is by using... an anchor.

With an anchor, you have the power to do a simple act and you'll instantly be able to eliminate that fear of making money. Sounds interesting, isn't it?

No, this is not trying to use affirmation. It's scientifically proven to work. The 'technology' for using anchoring is introduced in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

This is probably the fastest way to change your emotions instantly.

I'll show you how to experience 'success'.

Think of a time when you have a very successful experience. It can be when you get number #1 in any competition.

It can be an experience when you beat Your competitors to be a winner.

It could even be when your wife agreed to marry you!

Now focus on the feeling of success you have experienced last time. Pull out the memory of how it felt like ... to be successful, to be on top of your game.

Engage that feeling. Are you feeling it?

I know it's hard while reading this article but you'll need to practice it if you want to know how it works.

See yourself when you have achieve success, hear the claps and cheers, remember the smell of room where you're winning the prizes and feel it.

Then it's time for you to create an anchor at that exact moment of time.

Many types of actions can be an anchor for you.

You can twist your ear, move your fingers 5 times, clinch your fist 3 times, rub your hands together, make an arm swing or just do anything you can think of that can have a special meaning for you.

This anchor will be engrossed with the state you in. And the state that you're in at that moment of time is when you're experiencing your successes.

The more passionate or lively the experience, the better anchor you will create.

How To Leverage Your Ebook Income

A common product to many marketing offers is an ebook, but not all ebooks are created equal. Once an ebook is written it can be sold or given away to promote another product or product line. Content can be written by you, or written by a ghostwriter for you, or you can purchase private label rights [PLR] on an existing ebook that you can modify, re-title and re-brand.

Ebooks are a good way to add value to a promotion. If you have written a new ebook then you can pick up some PLR ebooks to complement and increase the value of your offer.

Many of the ebooks bundled with promotions deliver content in ways that leave room for significant improvement. For example, some of the obvious features of a book are table of contents, headers or footers with page numbers, chapters with titles and sometimes sub-titles. If any of these hallmarks are missing from an ebook, then it can be improved.

If your product is too short to include the main traits of a book listed above, the terms booklet, report, or special report can be just as effective for promotion. Conversely, you can abstract content from PLR books or articles to supplement your project.

Although professional software and its use are essential to competitive advantage, it is not that expensive to hire a professional to package for you. Both money and time can be saved with a bit of planning to optimize your ebook profit potential. For the same price of some ebooks, you can purchase your own ebook income generator package from h4h.biz. The difference is how and how much money is returned to you on your investment.

As a professional packager I am always upgrading my software and skills. Like anyone who wants to earn income, there is a learning curve to the tools of the trade. On the internet, it includes the hardware, software, and skills in their use that determines how well your business performs in your market niche or sub-niche. Although software is a common denominator, how it is used is as different as the people using it.

There are a many good reasons to hire someone else to do a job better, sooner, or just get it done. For example, I am not a bookkeeper but I do have the same software as my bookkeeper. I know enough about using it to generate reports, but the rest I pay her to do. On the other hand, Im a graphics specialist that uses most of the professional software on a daily basis. I manage my projects by sub-contracting surplus work to freelancers. This enables me to do as much work that comes my way while managing continual development of my business systems.

In my experience it is important to learn as much as you feel comfortable with about the tools of the trade because even if you dont use them on a daily basis yourself, you place yourself in the position of being a well informed buyer that understands enough of the technical jargon to make an informed purchase.

When I taught at the Pre-Press Institute, I would break the learning curve into lecture, lab, and experience. The lecture was a combination of reading to prepare, then watching and interacting in a demonstration. The lab time was spent learning how to do-it-yourself with immediate feedback to questions as they were asked. I explained experience as the combination of learning to learn, practice without the lab feedback, and on-the-job feedback from colleagues or clients. I have adapted many features of this training model for internet delivery. It is now available by membership to my online project workspace. It is just a few clicks away.

Writing Your Resource Box To Make More People Click

The internet is the information super-highway, this phrase has been used so many times that it could be nominated for the "Internet Clich Award". People that go to the internet are subdivided into groups, but generally, they are out to search for information. Whether for gaming, business, fun or anything else, the internet provides us with information that has proved to be very beneficial.

In recent years many people have learned the secrets of Search Engine Optimization. More and more sites have seen the positive effects that articles have had for the traffic of their sites. Some have even created sites devoted entirely to providing articles. Website visitors can read the articles and get links to lead to many other sites that are related to the topics and subjects of those articles.

For example, the sites may feature many articles about a whole lot of topics. As a website visitor reads the articles they have searched for, at the end of the article they can find a resource box that links them to the site that has submitted the article. Of course the article would be in relation to the site. Lets say if the article is about rotating tires, the resource box may lead to a link to a site that sells tires or car parts.

A resource box is what you usually find at the end of an article. It contains the name of the author, a brief description of the author, a brief description of the sponsoring site and a link. If a reader likes what they read, they would have the tendency to find out where the article came from to read more. The resource box will be their link to the source of the article and this will entice them to go to the site and do some more reading or research for the subject or topic they are interested in.

But like the article itself, the resource box must also be eye-catching to demand the attention and interest of the reader. While the resource box encompasses only a small space, providing the right keywords and content for your resource box will provide more encouragement for the reader to go to your site.

Now we know what resource boxes are, what are the benefits of having a good resource box? Mainly its driving traffic to your site. Many sites would allow articles to be placed in their sites because they can make use of the articles to fill their pages. They also get affiliation with other sites that can be beneficial for them as well. For the sponsoring site, when you get people to click on your resource box, you generate traffic that can be counted upon as potential customers.

So what would be good content for your resource box? Basically it is keywords, learning about the popular keywords that people are searching for. There are many tools you can find on the internet that can help you in determining what keywords to use. Good Keywords is a free tool you can get at http://www.softnik.com to determine how much a particular term is searched for. Then, check if people are buying in relation to these keywords by checking how much people are bidding on these keywords. You can check this at http://www.overture.com and http://adwords.google.com

Resource boxes can also make use of all the creativity it can get. You only get a small space for your resource box so you better make the most of it. Try to catch the attention of your reader with resource box content that can make them give a second look. Unlike TV ads, you dont have visual aids to drive your point home. But you do have the power of imagination of a reader. With the right content, you can make them think and become interested.

Another tip is to use keywords that are related to your site. Do not mislead your potential website visitors. Build your credibility so that more people would get enticed to visit your site and browse what you have to offer. Make the people click your resource box by providing resource box content that makes a lasting impression. You only get one chance to wow them and hundreds of chances to repulse them.

Never underestimate the power of the resource box. It may be small in size, but it will provide a huge aid in driving traffic to your site. A boring resource box will never get the job done. Be fun and creative but at the same time show that you have a great deal to offer.

New Requirements for A+ Certification

CompTIAs A+ certification has long been recognized as the industry standard for vendor-neutral validation of entry-level computer hardware and software skills. As of July 2007, the certification examination requirements for A+ certification have been changed to reflect recent advances in technology and hiring practices.

Earning A+ certification still requires earning passing scores on two different exams. However, the content and structure of the required exams have changed.

Everyone will be required to successfully complete A+ Essentials (#220-601) exam, covering both hardware and software. In addition to the A+ Essentials exam, A+ candidates will be able to choose their second exam from a pool of elective tests specific to particular specializations.

Elective Tests:
* 220-602 IT Technician
* 220-603 Remote Support Technician
* 220-604 Depot Technician

The new A+ certification exam emphasizes the combination of technical know-how and other issues necessary for success in the IT field. Because employers are seeking well-rounded and skilled workers for their entry-level IT field, the new A+ examinations were designed, with feedback from subject matter experts, to cover the complete skill sets needed by those seeking entry-level employment in information technology.

In addition to knowledge specific to hardware and operating systems, the new A+ certification exams also look for knowledge in areas necessary for one to be a well-rounded computer professional. For example, concepts related to environmental issues, professionalism, communication skills, safety, and security are now included in the exam.

When you are ready to take the new A+ exam, it is a good idea to use a practice test to help you determine if you would benefit from completing a certification preparation course. There are a number of excellent online, instructor-led, and video-based training programs that can help you polish your skills and knowledge.

When you are ready to take your exam, be sure to check around for the best deals on exam vouchers and select a comfortable and convenient certification testing center that meets your needs.

Google-YouTube and Web 2.0

Google surprised the world by announcing on October 9 it would acquire California-based video website YouTube for a stock-for-stock transaction of US$1.6bn. This amount is the highest Google has paid for a nifty website. But what makes this acquisition unique is that this is the highest price ever paid for a user-generated Web 2.0 content site.

YouTube simply adds to the Tribe of Google which boasts of areas as diverse as blogging, personalized search, satellite imagery, image management and cellular phone technology! The price tag of $1.6 billion has raised several eyebrows, and Google's economic wisdom is being challenged. However, what this deal means to web 2.0(a system of collaboration-based web development) has been widely ignored.

YouTube - a true Web 2.0 Company

YouTube, founded in 2005 by Chad Hurley and others, is in the genre of a true Web 2.0 media website consisting entirely of user-generated content. It ranks fourth in the sector after other US-based firms MySpace, Facebook and Wikipedia.

YouTube has played a major role in creating the new "clip culture". It is estimated to serve about a 100 million video clips every day to about 72 million unique visitors!

Under the new deal, YouTube is expected to retain its separate legal entity, with Google continuing to concentrate on its own Google Video website as a separate operation. But the deal with YouTube will increase its reach into the user-generated media content market. In this market, "there is a clear winner in [the] networking and social networking side of video", Google chief executive Eric Schmidt said. UBS analyst Benjamin Schachter commented: "Large advertisers are looking to spend more money with Google. Video is a major focus, and YouTube increases its inventory."

Where is the money?

What exactly is the business model behind the purchase? The official line from Google is that "YouTube acquisition is part of Google's ongoing mission to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful." However, it is premised that Google plans to leverage its "advertiser relationships" - a reference to its strategy of combining Google Adsense for Video with Google Video.

The basic theme seems to be that YouTube will benefit from Google's ad platform when it comes to monetization. Google search will also "improve the search experience" for YouTube users.

Copyright worries

Copyright concerns are another area which will keep Google and its lawyers really busy. There have been several reports of users viewing illegally copied music videos, films and TV programs via the YouTube network. Critics have even drawn parallels to the now-redundant Napster network, despite having a far better record.

To its credit, YouTube has struck deals with Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), Sony BMG Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group, in an effort to reduce copyright lawsuits.

What next?

This deal is a great one for YouTube, and hopefully a good strategic move for Google. The web community is anxiously asking the question: who is next? Of course, the Facebook-Yahoo! deal looks more likely to happen now. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Auto Tech Schools Versus Community College Programs

Naturally, when you are researching auto mechanic programs, one of your main concerns is cost. To many people, the tuition charged by auto tech schools seems exorbitant when compared with the less expensive programs offered at community colleges. However, as a school that specializes in one area of instruction, an automotive school offers many benefits over a low budget community college program.

For instance, most auto tech schools offer better equipment than community colleges. The reason for this is that community colleges depend on the government for their funding, and as a result are constantly struggling to pay their teachers, let alone stay up to date on equipment for their students. On the other hand, the tuition you pay at an automotive school ensures that the school can provide and maintain state of the art equipment for its students.

Another advantage of the degree programs offered by auto tech schools is superior teachers. Under funding at community colleges also results in underpaid teachers, which usually means that the best and most knowledgeable teachers wont settle for a job at a community college. Also, since an automotive school specializes in their field, rather than offering classes simply as an alternative for non-traditional or non-academic students, they tend to look for teachers who are better qualified to teach their subject.

The curriculum offered by an automotive school is also generally higher quality than those offered by community colleges. Again, this has to do with the fact that auto tech schools specialize in one field. As a result, a school that focuses on automotive training will be able to offer a choice of several different degree programs, including programs for earning Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications. ASE certifications are an important part of the automotive industry, as they demonstrate to employers and customers alike that a mechanic has mastered his or her areas of certification; as such, any good automotive education program will train and test students in the areas of ASE certification.

Besides factors that are directly related to the quality of a students education, such as high quality equipment, teachers, and educational programs, as private institutions auto tech schools can also offer superior student services, such as job placement services. Job placement services in particular are very important, as the primary reason for pursuing an education is to become more qualified for a specific job or career. Auto tech schools tend to have an office dedicated to helping graduates find jobs, and usually have a good reputation with local employers. Additionally, many auto tech schools have long term relationships with local business, meaning that many of these businesses go directly to the school when they are in need of interns or fulltime mechanics. All of these factors help the graduates of an auto tech school find jobs more easily than those who attended a community college.

Saving yourself money by attending a community college program may seem like a wise decision, but in the long run it may have a detrimental impact on your career path. Factors such as the curriculum, teachers, and equipment dictate how much you learn and how well you learn it, while support services for students, such as job placement assistance, help you translate your education into a career. The extra money it costs to enroll in a degree program at an auto tech school may be the difference between a quality education and mediocre training, a career in the fast track or just a job.

4 Tips to Ensure Your Viral Marketing Campaign Fails

I should hope that the headline caught your attention because...

..anyone who has been online for a while, either as an affiliate or a vendor, knows that Viral Marketing, particularly using mini ebooks, is one of the EASIEST ways to automatically get an UNLIMITED amount of targeted traffic which, in turn, exponentially EXPLODES your profits at the same time.

(If you want to learn know more about viral marketing, just do a search for it on Google.)

But there is a WRONG way to do this. And if you're not careful, all your viral marketing efforts will be for nothing. Make the following mistakes when creating your mini ebook, and you'll be sure to fail and not see any results:

1. Never Include Personal Information You Do Not Want All Over The World.

Because of the nature of viral marketing, it will eventually spread everywhere in the world. So if you include your phone number, address, or email, be prepared to have your phone ringing off the hook 24/7, be prepared to have your mailbox full of unwanted mail, and be prepared to have your email full of SPAM and questions. Take it from me, you do not want this.

2. Never Directly Link to An Affiliate Product

You should invest in your own web hosting space for this reason: you always want to redirect affiliate links on your server instead of directly linking to your affiliate programs. Once an affiliate program you're promoting changes it's links or they go out of business, there's absolutely nothing you can do. You're commissions will just end. If this happens, simply change the redirect links to where you need them to go.

3. Don't Be Specific

Do not talk about limited time discount offers or "just released" products no one has yet because by the time your mini ebook gets to someone a year, two years from now, the information is going to be dated and you will only end up disappointing a potential customer.

And last but not least...

4. Launch a New Window for External Links

When linking to external link in your ebook, always set the link to open in a new window/browser. Many sales processes use javascript that can cause a compatibility problem if launched within your ebook. If a customer was ready to buy something from your link, it would greatly upset them to have it not work, and you just lost a commission because you forgot to set up this option.

The Copywriter's Secret Weapon Against Readers' Fear

If youre a good B2B copywriter, you probably do your homework before accepting any new copywriting assignment. You research your prospect. You research your product, and even your competitors products. And you know your product can greatly improve your prospects bottom line. No questions asked.

So theoretically, all you have to do is present your benefits, offer a proof element, show how the benefits overwhelm the price, and youre in the clear. Right? Not even close. Heres why.

Even if your product doesnt carry a 6-figure price tag, your prospect is still going to be reluctant to even request more information. The reason: fear.

the B2B buyer is afraid of making a mistake. If she doesnt know your company and has never heard of your product, your offer represents a risk to her career. Perhaps she has made a few similar mistakes in the past which have cost her. So you have to get her over this fear if you even want her to give you your most-wanted-response: become a warm lead.

One of the best ways to do this is through the use of testimonials. Thats right, use testimonials to overcome objections.

Most copywriters are taught that testimonials are merely the proof element of a marketing promotion. And while testimonials back up what you say in your B2B marketing message, you can use them for so much more. An effective testimonial can overcome just enough of a prospects objections to make the difference between totally ignoring you and requesting more information about your product.

Heres an example. Suppose your company sells walk-in refrigeration units to restaurants. The goal of your promotion is lead genearation. You know you have a good product to sell, you know your prospects will be concerned about mold growth inside your units. You dont have a lot of space in your ad to devote to the technical reasons why your product deals eliminates mold growth, so use a testimonial to handle the concern. Like this

Since our restaurants are in the Southeast where its humid, I was concnerned about mold contamination of our food inventory. But our XYZ Model 123 has been working round the clock all summer long with no mold growth whatsoever. Thanks, XYZ. You really took the worry away. Joe Snuffy, Snuffy Restaurants of Florida, Inc.

The benefit to this method of overcoming objections is twofold. First, it gives you a satisfied third-party who is happy with your products and doesnt mind your telling others. Second, it overcomes an objection that you know other prospects have without having to devote large amounts of copy to overcome it.

Testimonials can help you out in a big way in B2B lead generation. And while they are great to backing up your product performance claims, dont forget to overcome objections with them as well. The benefit to you will be greater response when generating B2B leads for your product or service.

Color-- The Pathway To The Soul

You are what you eat, and you are what you think, but do you know that you are also the color that you choose? The fact that colors have psychological significance and that meditating on them can heal old, emotional wounds is the basis of Dr. John Diamonds breakthrough in Meditative therapyThe Diamond Color Meditation. Working with Dr. Max Luscher and the Luscher Color Schematics, Dr. Diamond has produced a meditation that allows us to access the healing energies we need at the unconscious level.

Dr. Diamond is a pioneering figure in alternative and holistic medicine. He began his career in psychiatry, but expanded into holistic medicine. His body of work, which embraces a wide range of disciplines from psychiatry to applied kinesiology to music, is as long as his credentials. He now practices as a Holistic Consultant in New York. Dr. Diamond is also associated with Life Energy Foundation.

According to Dr. Diamond and Dr. Luscher, colors have deep psychological significance that go back to our primitive, unconscious roots. I love the unconscious and have worked there, lived there for many years and I have not only a great belief in it but a great respect for it, says Dr. Diamond. The color palette presented in the Diamond Color Meditation allows us to access the unconscious energies we need to heal our wounds. These energies are part of the great healing force--The Life Energy--that we can all activate within us.

Most of us evade the pain of our wounds by escaping into unhealthy addictions for work, food, toxic substances, toxic relationships or toxic beliefs. Living on the surface in this manner denies us the power to confront our wounds in a genuine manner and transform them into healing energies. However, meditating on the colors and symbols of the Diamond Color Meditation allows us to shift out of stress and anxiety into a state of being loved or Belovedness. It is this state of total surrender to a sense of being loved that allows for the power of deep healing. All colors have a spiritual dimension, according to Dr. Diamond, but the color fuschia in particular has this quality that transports us to our mother--the One.

Anguish and pain prevent us from seeing and living in the One. When we are in this state, according to Dr, Diamond, "we are in the dark. No amount of material objects, money or cars will actually fulfill our deepest pain, longing and suffering. Sometimes these roadblocks are conscious, but more often than not they are unconscious."

I believe that you have to approach [the unconscious] with awe, respect, admiringly, and lovingly because to me, it is the very heart, or essence, of the person. It is not something to be trampled on or approached without deep respect. The Diamond Color Meditation is a perfect way allowing us access to our unconscious in a respectful, loving manner. Re-establishing the state of being beloved at an unconscious level means that we are treating our anxieties and pain at their primal sourcethe site of primal wounding. Engaging the unconscious in this manner releases tremendous healing power.

While drugs can bring about symptomatic relief, true lealing always involves a change in a person's attitude towards himself, his situation and life. color meditation allows us to tap into the great healing force within us--Life Energy.

The Easiest Way to Diversify

It's a phrase you have heard over and over, "diversify your portfolio", but what does it mean to someone with little or no financial background? The world of stock markets, volatility and portfolios in general may not be all that familiar. Fortunately, in this day and age there are ways to diversify that don't require you to be all that savvy when it comes to the stock market. There are a number of investments to choose from that do most of the diversification work for you. This article shows the many ways to diversify your portfolio, going from the most difficult to the easiest.

Most Difficult

If you feel really adventurous, you have lots of free time and loads of cash available, you can purchase your own individual securities. The only time I would recommend this is if you are very savvy when it comes to the stock market and you are willing to take the risk. If you fit this description, I doubt you will be reading this article. The expense involved in each individual trade (it varies depending on your investment company) makes it difficult to achieve the diversification necessary without spending a lot. Individual securities are fine if you have money set aside for that purpose only, but a few individual stocks or bonds isn't probably the best place to put your entire investment portfolio since this would not be diversified.

Difficult

Currently, mutual funds seem to be the more convenient route when it comes to investing for the long term. When you invest in a standard mutual fund, you are spreading your money across 50-1000 different securities without having to buy them individually yourself. The mutual fund manager takes your money, puts it into the pool with everyone else investing in the fund and purchases stocks, bonds and fixed-income products for you. While it is much more diversified than buying individual securities yourself, putting all your money in one mutual fund generally isn't enough to be diversified. In order to diversify through mutual funds it is best to choose a variety of mutual funds, those that cover large, medium and small companies, international securities, bonds, fixed-income products, and funds that cover different parts of the market such as technology, healthcare, real-estate, etc. For a beginner, even choosing your own mutual funds can be a daunting task. If this still seems a little too difficult, read on.

Moderate

For even more simplicity in choosing investments, consider an asset allocation fund. While most mutual funds spread your money over securities in a certain sector of the market, asset allocation funds spread it more widely and completely over several different sectors. It is not uncommon for an asset allocation fund to invest in almost 2000 different stocks, bonds and fixed-income products where an average mutual fund invests in about 300.

The other nice feature of most asset allocation funds is they often give you the choice of risk level. If you are nearing retirement and will need your money in the next 10 years, you could choose an asset allocation fund that is 50-60% in stocks, 40% in bonds, and the rest in fixed-income. You still have some growth potential, but if the stock market goes south, your bonds may help to stabilize the account. This can also be a good choice for someone who can't tolerate much risk, even if they have a long time until retirement.

There are also more aggressive asset allocation funds for those with a longer investment horizon or those that can tolerate more risk. If you are already retired and are starting to live off savings, there are conservative asset allocation funds that would be appropriate for these times as well. The key to success in diversification isn't just investing in different sectors of the market but making sure your breakdown of stocks and bonds is correct depending on your age and when you are going to need the money. If you are still unsure what I am talking about, maybe the next investment option is for your.

Easy

The easiest and most diversified investment comes in the form of all-in-one funds, sometimes called lifecycle or retirement funds. Where most mutual funds are made up of different stock, bond and fixed-income securities, all-in-one funds are made up of different mutual funds. For example, let's look first at a standard mutual fund, the T. Rowe Price Mid-Cap Value Fund (TRMCX). As of 3/31/2006 it was made up of about 65 different securities, mostly stocks. This mutual fund bought stock in companies such as Campbell Soup, International Paper, and Intuit, to name a few. While 65 securities may seem like a lot if you go and try to make that many purchases on your own, it is still a very limited piece of the market. If you put all your money into T. Rowe Price Mid-Cap Value Fund, you would not be considered diversified.

Now let's look at an all-in-one fund, this time from Fidelity, the Freedom 2040 fund. Right now, this fund is mostly in stocks. It is meant for individuals who are looking to retire around the year 2040. As of 3/31/2006 it was made up of 23 different mutual funds. The combination of all 23 mutual funds ends up being over 4000 stocks, bonds and fixed-income products. These 4000 securities cover all areas of the stock market including mutual funds such as Fidelity Small Cap Growth Fund, Fidelity Overseas Fund and Fidelity Blue Chip Growth Fund, each of which invest in very different types of stocks. If you put all your money in the Fidelity Freedom 2040 fund you would be diversified.

The other nice feature of all-in-one funds is that they become less aggressive as you age. They are working toward a specific timeline and gradually have less and less in stocks as you get closer to retirement. This is probably the best feature for less savvy investors. Even the asset allocation funds spoken of above need to be adjusted here and there so that they are more in line with your retirement goal. This would mean taking money out of a more risky asset allocation fund and placing it in a less risky option as you near retirement age. It is possible; it just takes more work from you. All-in-one funds do this work for you.

While it would be nice to have the easiest route also be the one that pays the highest yield, there is no guarantee of that. Any of the above options could end up having the highest return depending on the securities or mutual funds chosen and how they perform. When it comes to investing, there are no guarantees except this one...not diversifying will almost always hurt you in the long run. Diversification is the key to any good investment strategy. Now it is just a question of how you will go about it.

Crate Training Ebooks - The Key to your Training Success

There are many ways to get information on how to crate train your dog. Though there are many books, pamphlets, and articles in magazines out there with such information, the most practical may be crate training ebooks. Crate training ebooks are cheap, easy to find, and usually contain great information on how to get your dog used to his crate. So how do you find a reliable ebook for crate training? Here are a few tips that can help you out.

Affiliate Programs Your 10 Point Check List

More and more companies are offering attractive affiliate programs as a way of attracting more sales through the efforts of affiliates. These programs can be very successful for both the company and the affiliate. However, there are good programs and bad programs. Knowing what to look for in an affiliate program can save you a lot of time and money.

It is amazing to think how popular affiliate programs have become in recent years. Today nearly every ecommerce website has an affiliate program.

Although it is normally very quick and easy to join an affiliate program for free, you can save yourself a lot of time and money in the long-term by making sure that you start of with the right company.

I normally always base my decision on joining an affiliate program on the following 10 factors:

1. Product (or Service) - Must be a high quality product that is useful and can help people. You must be able to create a need for the product, at least in your own mind.

2. Company - You should have a positive feeling about the company. If something bothers you then rather walk away.

3. Price - The more affordable the price the more products will be sold through your referrals / promotions. Remember that the cheaper the price the larger your target market will be. Do not waste your time promoting a product that costs thousands of dollars. Rather focus on products that retail for between $10 and $500. That is where the money is.

4. Commission - I would never agree to promote a product or service for under 20% in commission. There are many companies out there with great products and systems that will pay their affiliates 30% and even up to 50% commission. Why settle for 10% when you can earn 50%. Chances are the amount of time you need to put in will be the same.

5. Training and Tools - All good companies will offer their affiliates free training programs on how they can make more money with the program. They will also offer free tools such as banners that the affiliate can put on his own website or they will give the affiliate his own affiliate website. The better the training and tools you receive the better the company.

6. Support - You often need to make quick decisions or revert back to a potential client as soon as possible with an answer to his question. In order to succeed you need great support. You should be able to contact the company any time of the day or night by phone, online messaging or e-mail and get a reply back without delay. A company that does not take the time to reply to my enquiry within at least 24 hours is a company I would rather not work with.

7. No obligation to purchase - You should never have to buy a product before you can become an affiliate. Don't get me wrong, it makes a lot of sense to buy and use the product yourself before recommending it to others but I have never come across a good program that insists its members must buy the product first. I do suggest you seriously consider buying the product once you have checked out the affiliate program as well as the training and support you will receive and made up your mind that you really want to participate.

8. Earnings visibility - Don't waste your time with a company that cannot offer you the online tools of monitoring your referrals and commissions. It should be totally automated and accessible with the click of a button 24 hours a day.

9. Protecting affiliates earnings - Any good company should do their best to look after the financial wellbeing of affiliates and this means ensuring that affiliates receive credit and by implication commission on all referrals that result in sales. As an affiliate you will normally receive a special affiliate code when you join the affiliate program. Lets assume the company's website address is www.abc.com and your affiliate code is 123. You will normally receive your own url to refer people to. In this case the url can be www.abc.com/123. Problem is that some people will think you are a middleman and that by excluding you they will get a better price (which is generally not the case). They will recognize your affiliate code as 123. They may use your url to visit the site but will often try to sign up by re-typing the url without your code. Many companies protect their affiliates from this practise by having systems in place that will recognize the IP address of a computer and associate it with your affiliate code. Even if the potential customer visits their website weeks afterwards it will still credit you with any sale that takes place. The time period varies but most good companies will protect the income of their affiliates for between 6 months and even 3 years from being "stolen" by other individuals.

10. Payment - In the end you have to be physically paid. Chances are that 10 companies will have 10 different ways of paying affiliates. It is normal that companies will only pay commission once the amount reaches a certain minimum. Remember that processing commissions cost money and it does not make sense to, for example, make a wire transfer for a commission of only $1. Make sure you fully understand how and when commissions are paid before you start promoting the program. Most companies will not change the way in which they pay commissions only to make you happy.

You may want to add additional factors to personalize exactly what you are looking for in an affiliate program. Do not compromise on your criteria. The old saying that goes: There is a lot of fish in the sea, also applies to affiliate programs. Take your time and be patient. You will find the right program(s).

How to Use an Offshore Bank Account for Asset Protection

Having an offshore bank account is one thing, using it is quite another matter.

Corporate Account When you have a corporate account the money belongs to the corporation not you personally. When the corporation is an anonymous bearer share Panama corporation your anonymity is further protected since establishing ownership of the corporation is about impossible so you would have to see who is recorded at the bank as the beneficial owner of the bank account and this requires you to convince a court in Panama to open up the bank records (something that is very rarely done) to reveal who the beneficial owner is. Even in the unlikely event a court did this this it would be of little value since the money still belongs to the corporation. So if you had a financial enemy pursuing you personally they would not be able to transfer a personal debt to the corporation very easily. They would need to show that you transferred funds to the corporation to make sure debtors could not recover the funds; it is called a fraudulent conveyance. The court cases pertaining to this are far from simple, they are expensive and time consuming and can take years to get heard in court. When wires are sent to an anonymous bearer share Panama Corporation no one knows who the owners of the corporation are, thus they do not know what natural persons are actually receiving the funds. When wiring funds into your Panama corporate bank account it is not revealing in terms of what the wire is for versus wiring money into a personal account. The Anonymous Panama Corporation adds in a nice thick layer of privacy protection.

ATM Cards - When you open a Panama bank account one can usually obtain an ATM card good for cash withdraws from ATM machines worldwide. These ATM cards will have your name on them and can be associated with the bank you are using. Some people obtain an ATM card from another unrelated financial institution. These cards typically have no name imprinted on them which right away adds to your privacy protection. These cards also do not leave a trail to your real bank. Money can be transferred to the ATM card by wire from your Panama or other bank account and then withdrawn as needed. Some people are fond of using these cards to cover corporate expenses like travel, entertainment and other business expenses. Usually the ATM card purchase requires a copy of a passport.

Visa and MasterCard Debit Cards Watch it here. This can be a real privacy violator. The USA recently got a lot of MasterCard records by a court order served on MasterCard in Miami. This could happen again. The more private way of doing this is to get a Visa or MasterCard debit card from another bank, not your Panama bank. You load the card by wiring funds onto the card from your Panama bank. This eliminates any ties the card has to your real bank account. The card should come from an issuing bank in a bank secrecy country. The way these programs work is Visa and MasterCard do not know who the actual card holder is no date of birth, no address, no tax id numbers etc. only the issuing bank has this information since they require a passport copy and a physical address to send the card to. So a subpoena to MasterCard or Visa would produce very little and since the bank is in a country with bank secrecy this avenue is going to be a long burdensome process that would be unlikely to be pursued and could only be pursued by a government in a criminal matter. You want to use a country where address verification is not set up on the debit cards or else use a mailing/billing address for the card in another country where you have a reliable mail drop box. This further protects your privacy and of course is a convenient way to guard against any potential identity theft associated with using the debit card in a restaurant, store, online etc.

Telephone Records If you need to telephone your offshore bank consider using an anonymous prepaid cell phone so there is no record of any calls to the bank on your phone bill. Private detectives in USA can readily get copies of phone bills. A sharp divorce or collection attorney will look for international calls to isolate an offshore bank.

Online Banking This is a great feature. Eliminate having statements sent to the house or office. Who knows who logs these statements being sent in the mail or even worse reads them, remember you could be a terrorist. Remember your ISP is a privacy nightmare. They are unregulated in general, unlicensed, and could be owned by felons, child molesters or whatever. These people can collect your entire internet transactions read them and save them forever. Rest assured all of the big ISP's like MSN, AOL, ATT, COMCAST will save your log files for ever showing every website you ever went to, every file downloaded, every email sent and to whom, etc. Don't assume they would require a court order to distribute this data, read your terms of service agreement and be prepared to be shocked. Now why should they know what online offshore bank you log into? So how do you stop it? You use an anonymous internet service provider. You log onto the internet then log onto their VPN which encrypts all your internet traffic going from your computer to their server and now your log files are basically encrypted and your ISP only has gibberish log files on you except he knows you connected to the anonymous internet provider but has no idea what you did or where you went. Make sure the anonymous internet provider does not save log files or only does so for a few days to track down hackers, spammers etc. Never bookmark your online bank. Save your passwords in an encrypted password folder. Use a hard drive cleaner like evidence eliminator to erase tracks, places visited, image files, cookies, downloads logs etc that windows saves. To protect from Trojans, attacks etc. use an anti-spy ware program like spyware doctor and Norton anti-virus. Do not trust one of them alone. If you get a keystroke logger or Trojan it can capture your passwords and they can rob your bank account online. Extra measures are an application based firewall so if a Trojan got in it would not be able to phone home without you giving the new application manual permission to connect to the internet and a wireless router that uses encryption. All of these steps should keep you safe if you keep them updated and turned on beats having someone get your passwords.

Don't Lose An eBay eBook Sale With Silly Terms And Conditions

How many times have you seen terms similar to this at the end of a listing while browsing eBay?

"Terms and conditions! Please read before bidding".

Payment must be made within 48 hours, if payment is not made within this time negative feedback will be left and eBay will be informed.

No new users. If your feedback is below 10 please contact me before bidding or I will retract your bid.

No time wasters, scammers or fraudsters..

Why do people do this? It's not going to stop non paying bidders, fraudsters or scammers. What it is going to do is result in fewer sales. Sure, we all hate the non payers and eBay is a scammers paradise but do you really think having terms like that is going to stop it? Of course not.

"Payment must be made within 48 hours, if payment is not made within this time negative feedback will be left and eBay will be informed".

If you even hint at giving me negative feedback for any reason I will simply move on to the next auction. You have just lost a sale.

"No new users. If your feedback is below 10 please contact me before bidding or I will retract your bid".

Why pick on the newbie, we all have to start on zero feedback and most of us start by buying something. By having a silly statement like that you could have lost a customer for life.

"No time wasters, scammers or fraudsters".

Do you really think this will stop a fraudster or a scammer?

What I am trying to say here is try and make your buyers experience as pleasant and easy as possible. For me silly terms like this sound negative and if I can get the product elsewhere I simply close the page and move on to the next auction.

We can all have unpleasant experiences from time to time on eBay and it's not nice if you get scammed but don't take it out on the rest of the eBay community. I would suggest you browse your listings and take a good look at your terms and conditions and if you have any negativity in your auctions have a serious think about changing them as all you are doing is harming your own sales.

All you need to do is keep your terms simple and easy to understand and you will have more sales, guaranteed.
